I bought a $20 power inverter for a trip down to the cities here. I'm using my wireless internet card in the back of the card here, and I noticed that my computer keeps switching back and forth from battery use to ac power. The inverter I bought is a 80W contunuous 150W peak. Is that big enough to run my sony? Or am I going to have to buy a bigger one?

It will probably be cutting it close. Check your AC adapter for the wattage on the AC adapter. Mine for example is 90watts. You're probably going to find you need something larger. You want the continuous wattage rating to be slightly larger than the draw from your computer.

Buy a belkin DC to AC 300WATT it is brilliant although your products cant be over 120W in the car ciggeret slot and if it is you have to use the converter with it and plug it on to it's battery

I bought a radioshack 175 watt one that plugs in the cigarette adapter about a year ago, powers my laptop just fine. 80 watts is definately cutting it close though, I'd go with the next size up.

I ended up returning it, and bought a V220 wireless mouse in red on clearance. I'll buy a bigger one with the next paycheck.
