Power Light Flashes

Three months ago I put together a computer using an MSI PM8M-V Mobo with a Celeron D340 and 1 gig ram. Everything worked great but I noticed that the Power LED would flash about once per second when machine was off. I did find that this flashing would stop when I unpluged the DSL cable from the LAN port and start again when repluged. Last night noticed that the light was flashing very fast and when I pushed the start button nothing happened. First thought was button so I replaced with on that I knew worked and still nothing. I tried turning off the DSL Modem and the light quit flashing but still could not start computer. When I turned it back on the light first flashed fast then back to slow flash and I was able to startup and everything was fine. Went back in this morning and laght was flashing fast again and no start. Now I'm stuck. Any ideas? Thanks:)

Ok, the first thing I would do is run a virus/spyware scan on the machine. Secondly, check the cable between the DSL modem and the machine, make sure it's a good cable. I even went to a customer's house one time (I do internet/computer support for a living) and they had an uplink cable plugged in which created problems.

But mainly just make sure the machine is clean. If there's a virus or spyware on the machine, it will cause that to happen. It's only my opinion. Good luck with it.

Thanks. I was able to do both checking tasks last night and came out clean. The cable is the original cable that came from SBC but will swap it out just to see.
It has been suggested that I reset the Bios by taking out the battery and unplugging all the power to the board, so I'll try that next.
