Power Problem??

I have a computer which more often than not when you go to turn in on the power light on front just blinks on and then right back off, and it never turns fully on. It is a custom made computer with the following:

PSU

Mother Board

Processor: P4 2.8ghz 800mghz

512mb of PC 2700

Any ideas? thanks
 
no it does not even get to post. the fans lights and front power light click on then right back off. Is that not a good brand of psu? has anyone else had problems with it? thanks
 
Personally I've never heard of that PSU. Keep in mind that wattage means next to nothing. What you want to look for is good amps on the rails, especially the +12V rail. Look here to see what you will need.
 
This can happen if you haven't plugged in the 4 pin ATX +12V connection to the motherboard. If it is plugged in, then you probably have a bad power supply.
