Power Supply Basics

Hello,
My son and I are putting together a computer. Quite an experience. I've added RAM and a second disk drive, and replaced video cards before, but I've never had to deal with power. Our power supply, an Antec, has several cords running from it. Each has several plugs. My question is, can we power more than one device on the same cord? Seems like we should be able to do this. Any help or advice is much appreciated.
Regards.

Yes you can, I have 3 fans right now all connected to the same molex connector on my power supply. and i've also seen fancontrollers that have fans connected to them.

Yes you can but try to avoid using the same "cord" to power heavy drain devices (like video cards and harddrives) ... the more you spread them out the better :)
