power supply capability

I currently have a 300W Premier power supply. it must be 300 continuous, since if you add up the individual wattages it comes out to be 335W. My current setup is:
1.7 GhZ P4
160G HDD
Dvd burner
cd burner
cd burner
64 MB video card
256MB DDR
One cpu fan, and one case fan

If i were to get a controller card, how many more drives could I be able to add, power wise? thanks
 
If you really REALLY want you can buy funky devices to measure power useage but you're better off spending it on a solid PSU anyways :)
 
Most likely you can add a few more, depending on how many empty power cords you have. With a 300watt power supply and the devices you listed, you should have no problem adding a few more drives (as long as its not a new video card)

Welll the number of connections can always be increased via splitters and such so thats not too big an issue -- the load on the rails definitely is tho :)
