Power supply help

my friend is upgrading his comp and was wondering if the Ultra X-Finity PSU are good or not. he doesnt want to pay over a hundred for a PSU, he just wants some thing to get the job done and maybe last a few years. He plans to run a intel E8400, ATI 3870 , He just wanting to know if it will handel it or not

That's a good sized rebate seen there. For a stock system there wouldn't be any problem with the 600w model.

im just wondering if Ultra X-Finity PSU is a good brand name to trust for a powersupply? does it compare to the biger name brands?

It's certainly not worth $150, but it's good value at $50. It's an older design with low efficiency, but the build quality is reasonable and it will provide plenty of power for a system like that.

For a stock build like I mentioned before I have to agree with ceewi1 on that being adequate and certainly seeing a good price with that large a rebate for it.
