power supply might be dead?

Pretty sure its my power supply, that little green light on the inside is ON but like i said the comp will not turn on. one thing though, i didn't put all the screws into the mother board just the corners and 1 or 2 in the middle, reason i did that is i heard from someone that fried a few mother boards because he had to many screws in it, but i might have miss understood. i did go in and dust everything as best i could and i checked the wire for the power button and the power cord. it was also giving off a burning smell.

here are my specs

Never heard of a mobo frying because of too many screws in it...

Are you sure you've wired everything correctly in place? One small miss and the system won't start.

A PSU like that one shouldn't last for only 10 months.. But I guess that depends on what you do on your PC.
Anyways, if the lifetime of the PSU is barely 10 months as you said they had reviewed and as it seems to be in your case then I personally think it's a piece of cra-p.

Edit- If the case is that it's burned out then I can recommend any of the Corsairs, my friend has got a 750w Corsair HX and it has lasted for more 1,5 years, and he's doing "heavy" gaming with dual GPUs..
