Power Supply... Please Help

Hi, i have a HP Pavillion dv6000

I like it alot. it is a good computer, but the only thing wrong with it is that when the battery is almost dead, it doesnt make a sound to let us know. so we might be doing some work, and it just dies without any notice.

can someone tell me how i could make it make a noise before its dieing?

Is the computer new and just started doing this or did you recently perform a system restore?

My Fiancees Dell did this for a while and it was due to a faulty driver that tells the system when the battery is getting low.
