Power supply problem!!

Hey all,
Iam having a problem with my power supply for my sony viao
VGN-A417M the power supply isnt charging the laptop, it has an output of 19V and 4.7A i do however have another powersupply and it does seem to work but it is only a 19V 4.1A output was just wondering with it being a lower ampage will it damage the computer?
i cant find a 4.7A on ebay and sony want £80 for one.

From my experience, more or less amps will not harm a computer, but it might cause it to not charge the battery, or maybe not even work just because it's not the exact specs. I've run some old 486 laptops off a 1 amp power supply, and a 4 amp power supply. They worked great off both, but unfortunetly, neither would charge the battery(and yes, the battery was still slightly good)
