Hey Guys!

Could anyone tell me if a computer will only work if earthed to a metal case!?

I have mounted my motherboard on perspex and it doesnt work when i connect it to the psu :S

However the psu works cus i tried it on my other pc and the motherboard worked yesterday?

Any clues?

Do not connect the mobo to the metal case, that would short it out. A possible cause for you PC not starting may be that the "clear CMOS/BIOS" jumper is still set to 2-3 by default, read the manual and swith it back to 1-2. If that is already done, check all you rwiring again, make sure there are no physical breakages. Failing all of those things the i would suggest you have a dead motherboard.
