Today after a little guy totally played with my keyboard i noticed that my L shaped enter key which when pressed , at the left end it dosent works but has a pressing sensation. I pulled it out and noticed that there were two rubbers , one at the left end and one at the right one. I tried pressing them using a spoon and found out that the left one wasnt working , only the right one was doing the job. Is that normal or one of them are down?. I think they have put the left one just to make the enter key comfortably pressable and avoid using the technique which is used for a spacebar key.

As far as I know in general, both points are supposed to be active. Probably the "little guy" ;) wore it out...

r u sure? .. Because i dont think they would make such a keyboard integrated circuits which can work that way... besides "in general" the part which iam saying is kinda dead has a very light touch , And the touch on that Active part is hard and i dont remember any enter key presses which didnt work for me

I believe that some of the L shaped enter keys that I have used before have a lighter sensor on the left, and a harder one on the right. I would guess that's so that if you hit the left side of the enter key, then it will acknowledge the key press without trying to get the key down from the smaller side. Then the harder sensor will get the whole key to go down, since it is located more in the center of the key.

On my keyboard, it is only a straight enter key, and the two supports work together, and I can't press down one side or the other without both sides going down together. So, my original statement still stands, but I have never personally taken a keyboard apart so I don't know for sure. If you want to repair it, I'd just go get a new keyboard.
