Powercolor HD 2600

hi everyone, im new here and already have a problem :P

yesterday i bought a PowerColor Hd 2600 Pro, ATI 521MB DDR2 (i think the name is alright).

the problem i have is with the drivers cause i already installed the ones that come with the CD and the card didnt work, then i downloaded from the ATI site and stil lthe same thing... i never had an ATI so i dont know if there is anything "special" i need to do in order to get this running, and btw just in case any1 asks i have a:

Pentium 4 3.4GHz
Motherboard asrock 774v88
2gb ram
Windows Vista Ultimate

Your post is unclear, can you get into windows using the card, and the drivers wont install? Or can you not even get into windows or get a boot image with the card?
 
yes, i can get to desktop and play around there, i installed the drivers that came with the card's CD and they didnt work, i downloaded from the website and doens't work either... the card is recognized as "standart vga graphics adapter"
