Ive just formatted my pc because of a fatal system error. and after installing all the hardware and software i needed it just powers itself off and restarts. i can only go into the computer via safe mode. it only started happening when i installed Ai booster from asus and nvidia driver updates. im assuming its something to do with graphics card (i have a 7900 gt, the buggiest piece of crap ever), but then agen it may be the cpu. ive never had this problem ever.

anyone have any idea what is going on?

thanks in advance.

I had a similar problem with one of my motherboard utilities (I forget which mobo), the only way for me to fix it was to quickly load up msconfig and disable the utility from starting up.

My guess is the AI Booster, try uninstalling that in safe mode, or try disabling it from starting up.

sorry about the wait for my post, ive been very busy and havnt been on my pc.

anyway, ive been in safe mode and uninstalled it but it kept happening anyway, but it only started happening when i installed Ai booster. its an endless cycle!

ive been constantly updating windows to get all of the vital updates for my pc (i send every error report i get and windows sorts out my problems :D ) because there is alot of conflicts related with my GPU. and hopefully i will be able to install all the drivers for the 7900. its functioning properly now though (i hope). i have to play the waiting game, i game i hope doesnt last long ;)

i'll keep u posted

nVIDIA drives me nuts for that reason. I would try an older revision of the kit. When it reboots like that it's because of a driver conflict or rogue software. I'm not surprised that it's not the AI booster software. If it runs properly in safe mode, that's a great indication that it's a memory resident app causing the problem.
