Powerline vs. wi-fi?

Looking at this Powerline adapters:

The reason is that the new place only has a network connection in the front and I am upstairs in the back

Wi-fi should be ok but concerned about range and speed so looking at Powerline

Seems cheeper then a good N router and in my situation more stable

How is Powerline speed?

Anyone using it now? How is it?

Powerlines are great, I would recommend it. I have a Netgear n600 wifi downstairs but get better results with the powerline connection method.

Powerlines are very good,I had wireless issues when going from my Router upstairs to the Laptop downstairs,Kept dropping out etc so i bought some TP-LINK AV200 adapters and its been very reliable so far no issues whatsoever.

Powerline is just fine if the locations are on the same ring main. You can get powerline wireless adapters. One associated on wireless with your wirless router and the other re-radiates your wireless signal in the other location so you can connect wirelessly with devices in the other area of your house. Maybe consider one of these.
