Prestige in MW2?

So i hit lvl 70 today...Prestige is next...but do you guys realy think tis worth loosing all your weapons again just for a new badge and slot?

From what i can see on google,thats all we gain from it atm....but i have a suspision that at a later date they will release some new weapons that are only available to for example Prestige lvl 50 or so?

what you think?
 
when i 1st started, the P90 was my fav gun.

i had to restart my account, and then i started liking the MP5.

Then the AK etc etc

moral is, yes, it will make it intresting, you will play better as you are forced to use new weapons, and you might even see that other weapons are better.

Personally, i would prestige...

Well i prestige today,no point in keep on playing and earning those points been stuck at lvl 70 so....and like i said i think they will release some new weapons that will require you to be pres anyway.

Anyone heard anything of any new maps?
 
I'm on my third prestige right now, I'm at lvl 40 I think. To me it's worth it the extra classes you get and the new challenges make it worth the time. Also like you said there is no point in playing if you aren't earning anything. I really doubt that IW will release new guns only for people who prestige. Everybody said they would do the same thing in COD4 but they never did. Plus it would be unfair to the people that don't play that much. I have friends that aren't that good and wont prestige because it take them forever to lvl up. The game is already unbalanced, if they where to do something like that I don't think I would play anymore. I haven't heard any more about the new maps. I hope they will be here soon.

I think the whole pres thing is a bit OTT though ,i mean theres like 10 pres levels right? and each time we have to reset? not good realy.
Plus i dont have alot of time to play.

By the time i probably get to 3rd or 4th pres il probably get bored of the game and move on.....unless theyre going to keep on throwing out new maps/guns which i doubt they will,i can see the game getting boring.

Currently rank = Pres 1,Lvl 4,...a long way to go :D :good:
 
I went to prestige 10 twice in COD4 then made it to prestige 5 again before I got bored. I wouldn't be as far on MW2 if me and my brother wouldn't have had like 10 all night call of duty session in the past couple of weeks. Also it helps to use different guns, and try and get the challenges for each one.

With out prestige I would have already got bored with MW2. For me it makes it worth playing, its just fun when you are working towards something. Plus I like to turn my speakers up all the way and hear the big gunshot when I hit the button:P

Yes you should presetige, unless you're trying to unlock camos and such. I'm on third prestige (though I had to skip though half my second prestige due to a glitch in the game).

I always play the story first just to get a jist of what the game it about. But yeah, I agree with you about the story. it is kinda boring. I wish they made the story longer and at least put a few more epic twists in it. :)
