Pricing my "new" build

I built a system last Dec and upgraded on it every month. I finished the upgrades and now have a second system.

The new parts were:

Intel Celeron G540, 2.5Ghz dual core CPU
Asrock H61M-DGS MOBO
2x2 Gskill 1600 DDR3 MEMORY
Corsair CX430 PSU
Rosewill FBM-02 dual fan CASE

The used parte were:

WD Green 500Gb HDD (2009)
Lite-on 16X DVD-RW (2009)
Vista x86 Home Basic OS (2009)

What can I sell it for in this condition?

How are you selling it? I'd advise putting your starting price at 250 and see what offers you get.

I haven't put it up for sale yet, I was just curious.

Right now I have Linux Mint installed, no Windows so I'm trying it out.

Without Windows will drop the price a bit.

Then it'll have Windows Vista x86 Home Basic retail.

That'll drop the price even more as it now has a virus installed.

^ Haha but I imagine the kind of person who will be buying this PC won't really too be concerned about which OS it has. They'll probably just want something cheap which works.

I know there's not a lot of love for Vista but it never gave me any problems.

I actually like Vista just fine. I tried it with the latest updates and service pack, and it worked just good.

I got Win 7 x64 Home Premium for a few month and I can now say, P on Vista.

Win 7 is a whole lot better.

Yes, it is. But I liked Vista back when I had a old lappy for the newer features then XP, but less resource intensive then 7.

I can't complain with the Vista because it served me well.
