i think your trying to remove a dual boot? is that correct? depends on what os's your are using her is guide on xp and vista dual boot

it was for the beta of vista and requires you have the original boot disk or an image of it
but this can be quite dangerous and seriously screww your computer up this seems like the safest option i have found
without the disk id imagine grub bootloader would work as it will allow to create a new boot loader after the removal of the of the os in question but this is risky worked for me but i always have back up os's incase things go wrong
