alright, I have recently installed a wireless home network and i need to know how to share printers, at the moment i am using a linksyes wireless-N gigabit router. i have one desktop comp and one notebook on the network, both connect to the router wirelessly

so i googled it and found that you have to right click the printer, hit share...blah blah blah

so i did that on both computers for both printers, i have a brother MFC-240C printer on the notebook and a HP deskjet 722c on the desktop,

but after i went to add printer, and browse, i cant find it!!! any help???
is it that they are not in the same workgroup or something?
if so i have absolutely no idea how to do this!!!
very detailed intsructions please, im new to networking!

thanks!

You first need to setup the network.

Goto My Computer > My Network Places > Set Up A Home Or Small Office Network. Work through this setup. DO NOT SELECT WIRELESS NETWORK.

I assume blah blah blah is sharing the printers?

Thats the first thing to do.

goto START > Control Panel > Printers and Faxes > Right Click The Printer. Now select sharing, and share the printer.

To connect to a printer, goto My Computer > My Network Places > View Workgrouped Computers.

Double click the other computer.

Double click printers and faxes.

Double click the printer. Or right click and select connect.

ok, i did what you said but there is not option for "set up a home or small office network" all i see is "set up a wireless network for home or small office"

not sure if it will help but im running XP on one computer and XP Pro on the other, could that cause a problem?
