printer not printing colour

i have just replaced my colour ink cartige but now its not working. I can't really install it. Every time i print colour nothing comes out, only black. Ive uninstalled the printer and re installed it, removed the tape and put my old one back in but with no success. What should i do? Thanks
 
Have you tried replacing the toner catrige, it may be that?

So, it'll print a picture, but only in black and white?
 
im sorry but i am not that computer smart but i think it may be somthing to do with the computer not knowing what cartige is in there. it is the right cartige
 
it is not set to black and white plus if it was it would still print. and i have checked the toner, any more ideas?
 
Are you sure you got the right cartridge for the printer?

You could have got one that fits and looks like the one you need but not actaully got one compatiable with the printer.
What model is it and what cartridge did you get?
 
Try the your printer's support page, i cant think of anything else personally, your sure that the settings on the printer are set to print colour aswell and not black and white since you had it out?
 
did this happen with the last toner? did you leave this printer before for some time and maybe the pipes dried and got ink stuck?
