Printer server---can i use my router?

I'm looking to print wirelessly via 2 laptops. The laptops are only wireless-G capable so that's what i'm looking for. Right now i have a linksys WRT54G wireless router. I don't think i can hook a printer directly to this because it has no USB ports.

So i was looking at a Belkin printer server w/ 4port swich. This has 2 USB ports and 4 ethernet's. Is this what i'll have to get?

Another question i have is, what's the difference b/w a router and a switch? Will the switch still function like my router does?

i wouldn't go with belken, i have had some bad experiences. http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-PSUS4..._m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0NGQP8WHKSTV046MGTKS linksys seems to do a better job if your willing to spend the extra buck.

And the difference between a router and a switch is you need to have a router in order to have a switch. the router assigns the ip address to the computer. a switch is something that will go to the router and extend how many ports you have. so you cant just give up your router.

Do you already have the printer? If not look into getting a printer with a NIC, then you can hook it up to the router. If you have an old desktop sitting around you can share it through that. Other than that you'll probably have to purchase a print server.
