Printing blank pages...???

I have a HP PSC 500 and it just isn't working, it does the whole process of grabbin the paper, and movin the ink applier thing back and forth, but my pages are all comin out blank..

i don't know much about printers...would appreciate any help!

oh and i'm not out of ink either..
 
I'm having the same problem with an old printer I have laying around. Would also like to know what the problem is.
 
Umm umm, if the printer is old, the ink may have dried up somewhere and blocked stuff. I used to have the same problem, new cartridge and few test prints and stuff did the job.

I have no clue it this is going to work on newer printers.happened to me like 5+ years ago...things *might* have changed since then.

Also, this thing about ink drying up probably would be case only if the printer hasn't been in use for a while.
