Printing Help,Please.

I dont know if this problem is from my printer or a setting in the computer itself.

Accually I have two questions.

1) Sometimes I have to press both buttons on my mouse to highlight something,and then it's hard to keep it highlighted when I release the buttons.
Is there a way to set it like it use to be,Left Click to highlight?

2)When I am able to highlight something I want to print,I go to File>Print>,but the "Selection" is not being offered as an option.I have to print the entire page.
Is there setting also for that?

The HD went out a few months ago and I don't know if that had anything to do with the settings.I did'nt put it in.
Also I had to get a new HP printer,Deskjet F4140 All-in-One.

Sounds like the micro switch on the mouse is worn out !! and yes you can select either button to click(left/right handed option)

Can you paste into say WORD or similar program?

Nope,aint the mouse,it does the same thing on 3 diffrent ones.

It's something like this,I see something on this forum that can help me out in a situation and I want a copy of it.
If I highlight just what I want printed,then go to File>Print,the "Selection" option is'nt on,so I can't choose it.It'll print every page in that page.
