printing Problem

I have an ACER 5000 laptop. suddenly it will not print. I am using another computer connected to the printer via wireless from the laptop. I have gone through the setup process several times, the printer shows as "Ready" although will not print.

Device Manager shows no "Printer". The only printer shown is through "Control Panel", "Printer & Faxes", this shows the printer connected to the "Home" computer and shows as "Ready". This is where I get confused, always before when the printer was shown as "Ready", printing was successful from laptop through desktop ("Home") to printer. All associated computers are in "Share" mode.

Giong to "Explore", "Tools", "Map Network Drives", "Browse", "Shared Documents", Printer is not listed. The above is the base unit and prints OK, it does not recognize the two wireless laptops. Using the "Network Setup Wizard", the base unit is set for sharing, as well as the laptops, This thing has got me baffled.

The printer itself won't be listed in shared documents. Uninstall the printer through add/remove programs. Then reinstall it, that should fix the issue.

I removed & reinstalled the printer, no luck. I had installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 just prior to this problem. Is it possible that the security has prevented the laptop(s) from communicating with the desktop (Base)?

Yes, the firewall included with it will definitely cause network issues until its configured correctly.

I find the more safety programs I try the more programs and devices quit working. So don't use anything but skybot.;)
