Well, I know I've made another post about graphics cards a while back, but I have a new question. My favorite game of all time, Mafia, now will soon have a sequel; Mafia 2 (bet you couldn't figure that name out now, could ya
). The only games that I really see myself playing in the future are Mafia 2, GTA 4 (when it comes out for pc, hopefully), and Postal three, which won't be bad. I do like playing games a LOT, but I'm picky on what I play. Now, I know that you can't tell the future, so there is no sure-fire way of answering this, but if you could possibly assist me in this I would be very grateful.
Most of my cash goes into my car, which I am kind of doing a partial restoration on (refurbishing), so I don't usually have cash on hand. My budget is, and no further, about $150 for the card. I have been looking on pricewatch at the ATI Radeon X1950 512mb card for a while. I would go for a different brand, but I have ATI integrated, so I don't believe I can. I will upgrade the power supply. Like I say, no one may know, but does anyone have any idea if this card will suffice? I know there is more than just the card, but I think I have that just about under control. I may need more ram. I don't expect it to perform like a PS3, but it needs to be able to play it without a chop every second. Just curious if anyone could help, due to the fact that there are some next-gen games out already, but no shooter-car stealer-action games out yet. Thanks everyone.
In another few years I will probably build a pc, one that is best suited for gaming, with limited limitations.
