Problem connecting my USB headset to the computer

Hi, when i try to plug in my USB headset into the USB on the computer nothing happens windows keep telling me to plug in my headset. Anyone have any idea how and what i can do to fix this?
 
Hi thanks for your reply, unforntlay i have already tried all of my USB ports none of them connects it! I never had this problem before!
 
It's a bit strange. Windows is obviously recognizing the Headset because it says "insert it"...
Have you updated all the drivers? Did it come with a driver disc?
