Well, i have a lga775 pentium dual core cpu, and when i start my system it normally reads about 21-26 degrees(calcius) but recently it started reading between 35-39, a few minutes ago i shut it down at 37, waited 10 minutes and rebooted it again. 39! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? is it my motherboard?

Sounds like the push-pin cooler has wiggled itself out and needs to be tightened again.

I found the easiest way to make sure they go in and stay in is take the motherboard out....get a roll of electric tape and a flat head.

Put the hole you intend to do first in the middle of the ring then press down hard and lock it with the screwdriver. This allows more force without bending the board.

Rinse and repeat for all 4 and they wont come out easily.
