Hi,

Appreciate your kind advice.
I have a problem with my Document aand Settings folder.
I tried to install a video editing software. During installation, some files were copied to
Document and setting folder. However, during that period, the installation aborts. It says that document and setting could not be accessed as its write protected.
I did not write protect or do anything to that folder. Its not just the video editing software installation. Other software also the same issue.
Could it be a worm in that file or something?

do u have administrator rights? anyways, go to the folder properties and check the attributes again.

Hi,

I have checked the attributes, its not write protected. Yes im the administrator.Im using windows XP.

are you trying to install those files into documents and settings? if so, select a different folder.

try this...
go to the propeties of the documents and settings folder -> Security -> place a check on Full control

Properties---->security ? I dont see the security option. Do you mean sharing and security? But i dont see a full control check box. Im using XP

so am i... im on xp pro go to My Documents -> Right click and select properties -> there is a tab called "Security" . select that and under permissions for administrators, put a check on Full control
