problem installing dotnet

I tried installing dotnet and at the last stage of installing it shows an error

"Error 25007. Error occured while initializing fusion. Setup could not load fusion with LoadLibraryShim(). Error:0x80131702"

Can anyone help me?

(As I am new to this site, I accidentally posted this thread in another area too):confused:
