Reseat the video and ram :)

Well the fact that the drives spin just means they are getting power... not that the system is supposed to work

ok thx...
i read alot reviews and they all say that this mobo hates some type of ram...
but its wierd because i tried with 2700 ram too and it doesnt work...
so do u think if i get another ram that works with this mobo and add the one i bought already, will it work?

In general you're not supposed to mix PC1600/PC2100 with PC2700+

Well if you buy memory that works with the mobo then i dont see why not :)

Ok now im starting to get confused.. do you have any ram that works with the motherboard? If yes then you need to get similar ram if not then we look at other possibilities.

its okay to mix the memory types but your computer will run more efficient with the same. ex 3200 with 3200 or 2700 with 2700 instead of just 2700 with 3200. Are you sure your video card works and if the AGP on your motherboard can support it? because a 4x card won't work with an 8x mobo.

I had a similar problem on an Abit mobo. I found that when I seated the RAM, the mobo/ram socket flexed and the RAM did not seat correctly in the middle of the RAM stick. The ends seated fine. Look closer at the RAM to see if all the pins got seated.
