Ok I will give a quick explanation, I have a desktop and I have a laptop Window XP on both.
My desktop cd drive stopped working. I get on internet by satillite and had to upgrade to new sofware to get online. So I installed it on my laptop, I get online with my laptop.
Now I have no internet access on my Desktop, all my photos are on my Desktop and I need them to finish my new website.
How can I get them from my Desktop to my laptop? I know I can order a "pc mover" with a special connection but that uses a CD so if the CD that comes with it goes into my Desktop, it won't work.
I have ordered new CD drive but I dont know if the problem was the drive itself or my computer has a problem with the drivers or something.
I have a digital camera and a card reader so I can upload photos to the computer would that work in reverse ?
Is there anyway to load the photos from the desktop computer to the card reader and onto the card. Then I can transfer them to my laptop computer ???
Yes I have a router, but it used to work : internet to desktop then to router then to laptop. I can not hook up : internet to router then to desktop and laptop. The internet has to go to one of the computers but now I can not set it up: internet to laptop to router to desktop.
