I have a sansui led 1080p flatscreen tv I am trying to run as a moniter it is 60hz and 24 inches. The moniter only works in safe mode when i try to boot in normal mode it goes black at windows loading screen (vista). Im guessing it is a resolution problem with the tv but i have tryed to go in safe mode and change it to 800x600 and tryed and still didnt work. Btw I use a acer 60hz 20inch moniter as my standered and it works just fine. I am running a gtx9800+

also if anyone has a fix to this it would be nice if i could run moniter as a secondary moniter to the tv. I have 2x dvi ports on my gfx card.

be sure to check your aspect is set to 16:9 and you have it set up to detect DVI not HDMI or anything else.

(BUT if i remember correctly (feel free to correct me) but your gfx card's DVI is different from your tv's DVI.)

The DVI connector on a device is therefore given one of three names, depending on which signals it implements:
DVI-D (digital only, both single-link and dual-link)
DVI-A (analog only)
DVI-I (integrated – digital and analog)

so its possible your tv is dvi a and ur gfx is dvi d or vice versa. or possibly you're using the wrong kind of DVI cable.

anyways hope that helps. also if i'm completely wrong someone please correct me!!!!!!

forgot to add my tv is vga i have a vga/dvi adapter but like i said it works in safe mode. Also i have a pitition on another hard drive with linux it works fine on there.

from reading on google. it seems it either has something to do with your bios settings, or power saving modes. Go into bios and make sure you have your onboard video turned off then (if it doesn't work) maybe try turning off the power saving feature in safe mode. otherwise i'm out of suggestions lol it could be a problem with your dvi/vga adapter
