I am running multiple computers on windows XP, the computers are all going through the same router [2 are connected directly via rj-45 cables, and 2 are connected through wireless adapters(one a N adapter and the other a G adapter)] and they are using a program called Network Magic to network all of the computers.

I can access all files set to be shared for all but one computer, the same machine also cant be used to host games because no other computer can access it.

I need some advice as to what i should try to fix this so i can access this computer from any of my other machines.

hello,

is this computer perhaps an older make and model ?

if not what make and model is it ? and i will help you out :)

its actually somewhat new, built it in june.

they are all running windows XP Professional, firewall is on,different computer name then the others, not sure if they r on same workgroup.

if this helps at all i can access the shared folders that are on the other 3 computers from the one computer but none of the others can access the shared folders on the one computer.

Not familiar with the network magic software, but I would check the workgroup and make sure its the same as the other computers.

You probably just have file sharing blocked on the one computer, or don't have it set up to share at all, basically making it invisible. Check on those setting, and even if they're "right" change them, apply the changes and change them back. Sometimes Windows just needs to be reminded that that's how it does things... :)

to enable file sharing on the pc, go to network connections ( start > control panel > network connections) in here click advaced ( its on the same row as the file and that ) then click advanced settings, in here, click the adaptor in which you wish to share from, and then look in the bottom window and make sure the printer and file sharing is turned on... with all sub catagories enabled
