I am having this problem with my 8 gb sandisk cruzer when transfering files using windows me. When I connect my sandisk cruzer to a usb port it recognizes it but only shows that 615 mb is used . Then I try to transfer something it says write protected cannot transfer file. I am 100% sure that there is enough space on the flash drive. When I connect it to windows vista it worked fine. I also reformatted the flash drive.
