Problem with Asus EEE 900 Netbook

I bought my girlfriend an Asus EEE 900 netbook as a graduation present, adn recently she dropped it by accident. After dropping it she tried to restart it and it started to make a soft beeping sound and the screen shown at the bottom of this post appeared. We've tried all of the steps in the trouble shooting guide (except for using teh system recovery DVD because we can't seem to find it) and so far nothing as worked. We took it to Besy Buy and one of the members of the geek squad took out the memory adn reinserted it, adn turned it on adn it started to work fine but he turned it off before the system fully started, and upon testing it in the car as we left the same gray screen popped back up again. I personally tried removing and replacing the memory but it hasn't worked. Is there anything we can do to get the netbook to work again, or is it hopelessly lost? And if we can do something what can we do? I've looked on the Asus site to try and request/purchase a new recovery DVD but haven't seem to be able to find an option such as that anywhere on the website. Any help would be great as she needs a computer for school and doesn't have the money to buy a new one at the moment. Here's the image of the screen that appears upon turning the computer on.

Does it just freeze at this screen, or can you enter Setup and/or see the Post Message?

My guess is something simply got knocked loose inside. RAM would be first guess, but you've checked that... it could also be the solid state disk or the CMOS battery. If that's the case, then both could easily be reseated, but I would not recommend disassembling the computer unless you have experience with computer hardware. The EEEs do have one year warranties, so if that's still valid the best course of action would be to just send it in.

Thanks for the quick response. The screen isn't frozen there, we can access the setup and post message. I'll try to see if I can find the warranty information and remember who registered it, me or her. Thank you again for your help.

Could you boot it, hit tab to see the post message, and then take another picture? I will probably be able to use that to identify the exact problem.
