Problem with ASUS

For some reason I've been having this weird problem and I don't know what to do or fix it. Every so often my laptop freezes up then restarts. Sometimes it is silent and sometimes it makes this weird buzzy noise then restarts. I'm not sure if there is a problem with the hard drive or what but as of lately this has been happening up to 10 times a day and can get very annoying.

go to start -search- type event viewer and then open event viewer... are there any errors or warnings in system or application?

wow... give me the info for 3001 loadperf... just copy and past the error under the general tab. also kernel- and bugch

The performance counter name string value in the registry is not formatted correctly. The malformed string is . The first DWORD in the Data section contains the index value to the malformed string while the second and third DWORDs in the Data section contain the last valid index values.

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000124 (0x0000000000000000, 0xfffffa8005a4f8f8, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\Minidump\121710-32900-01.dmp. Report Id: 121710-32900-01.

And from when I had started this topic to 30 minutes ago I had no crashes... In the psat 30 minutes my comp has crashed 4 times doing what I says it does. Freeze up then the restart. It hasn't been doing it with the noise but I has been crashing which leads me to believe its all random.

Have you disabled all of the power manager settings? I have fund they cause my ASUS G73HJ to just quit connecting to all inputs. Give this a look.
