Problem With BT

Ok.
I have an Eircom router and we are with BT Broadband.

But every time the Phone Rings, the DSL Light on the router gets cut off and starts blinking so we cant get on for a few minutes when that happens!

Any suggestions from preventing this??

we only recently moved the router upstairs as well!
and ever since we moved it upstairs that kept happening!!

This was happening at my last workplace and it was due to bad wiring... So check into that. We had a case where one filter was being used on a cable that went to two phones and I had free time one day and an extra filter so I redid some wiring, stuck one on each phone, problem solved.

I thought you were talking about BitTorrent at first....
 
I'd say INTELCRAZY has hit that one right on the head. Definitely sounds like an internal wiring issue. Unfortunately that's something you will have to sort yourself. BT would literally charge you an arm and a leg to look at it. For starters they charge a few hundred quid just to go out to you and that's without doing anything.
