Problem with built in network monitor in Vista

The built in network monitor in Windows Vista won't let me access network, as it is protected by a WEP encryption (Yes, I know it's not the safest).

- As I try to connect it asks me to enter the 128-bit HEX passcode, and of course I didn't safe that.

So here comes my question: Is there any way, that I can enter the password, that I have chosen for the network, instead of the dreaded 128-bit HEX passcode, to access my network?

Thanks.

try logging into the router configuration, then change the setting for the wep encryption to 64 bit settings, this works for me. a typical layout for a 64 bit is 00-00-00-00-00

Hope this helps
