Problem with Desktop comp

My lil bro's comp has been acting weird, whenever he boots up his comp and has his 120mm fan on high the boot up screen freezes and he has to restart the comp but if its on low its fine.... no blue screen of death or anything.... My guess is the stock PSU?

wait i just doubled checked with him, whenever he starts up the comp and its booting if his back end fan is turned up all the way it feezes and he has to restart, but if he keeps it low it boots up..

could be a psu, but i know its not a virus, i check with norton and avg, i just dont wanna waste 75 on a psu and it turns out that its not..... i just might have to take my psu and install it on his and see if thats the problem.

It does sound alot like the PSU but like you said it's best to test your PSU on his machine first

i did, yea its his stock psu. Whew! i thought it was something else.
