Problem with Encarta encyclopedia

Hallo everybody, I got a machine with preinstalled Microsoft Encarta encyclopedia 2006. It worked well for about 8 months. One day when I opend it, I got an error message that "The page cann't be displayed", "Action cancelled", etc. I visited microsoft for fixing this problem. I got a solution that I should download and install current version of msxml, which I did and still it has same problem. I think that I could not properly understood the fixing procedure that was mentiond at Microsoft site.
Please suggest me what can I do to fix this problem. I will be thankfull to all.

Do you have the cd that came with it? If you do i would try just uninstalling it and reinstalling it and see if that fixes it.
