problem with excel

Hi,to all on the forum, the problem I am having with excel is that I can't close it. I have to turn off the computer. I can work for awhile and, it works OK, then it won't close. I turn off the computer ( Dell 1545 inspiron, with windows 7, home premium) then back on. It will work a while then same thing. Thanks for any help on this.

Try reinstalling microsoft office or just Excel if you have only have that one program.
