So I am having trouble with a HP M8000 and need you guys help.
First off,,do they make a adapter that will change the VGA on board monitor to DVI? If so this would solve my deli ma.
Here is the issue. The on board VGA works fine. I first thought the issue of hooking up a DVI monitor was a bad ASUS video card that was installed at the factory so I plugged another brand video card into the PCI_e slot on the mother board and it did not work. I tried both cards in a seperate computer and they both worked fine. I checked in BIOS and made sure the PCI e was the correct video source.
ok,,so I am thinking the PCI E slot is dead so I order a PCI video card and tested it in a working computer to make sure it was good. CHECK,,it passed. THen I put it in the HP and again,,nothing. Checked Bios and made sure the monitor was set for PCI this time. STill nothing.
So obviously I have a bad board right? This computer has a AMD Phenom 64 quad core processor. What mother board should I get to replace it?
