Hi,

I´m having a heat problem with my new INTEL DG33TLM G33 SKT-775 PCI-E M-ATX motherboard.

When I try to edit bios settings at startup the MCH area has 66 degrees celsius and the ICH area has 42 degrees C. Temperature in ICH area increases with about 1 degree every two seconds until the computer stalls. Does anyone know anything about this problem?
I tried to aim 2 fans against the problemarea to cool it, but it did´nt help.

My CPU and graphic card is watercooled

Many thanks in advance!

Fans just spread the heat around, not necessarily cooling it. The heat problem could be underneath another component, It's not unheard of. How long have you had this motherboard? It could be working improperly, or a capacitor may be malfunctioning on the board, making the board's temperature increase substantially.

I just bought it... Im fearing that its a DOA motherboard.
Right now, Im trying to make my supplier send me a new board.

There is a possibility that its a conductor error i tried to wiggle the conductor (ICH unit) but it seems that it is very firmly in place.

Could it be a compatibility error?
My system:
ASUS GEFORCE 8800GTS 640MB HDTV DVI-I HDCP PCI-E
CORSAIR 4GB DDR2 PC6400 XMS2 XTREME (2X2GB) HEATZINK
CORSAIR HX 620W Power Supply ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V
INTEL CORE 2 DUO E6850 3.0GHZ 4MB 1333MHZ S-775
INTEL DG33TLM G33 SKT-775 PCI-E M-ATX
SAMSUNG DVD±R/RW/RAM DL LS 20X SATA BULK SVART
SEAGATE BARRACUDA ES 500GB SATA/300 16MB
THERMALTAKE MINI CASE LANBOX SVART
ZALMAN GEFORCE 8800GTS VGA WATER BLOCK
ZALMAN RESERATOR XT SVART

It could be a compatibility Error, but It shouldn't be, because a the parts should be compatible. When the new board comes in, and it doesn't work, then it is definitely a compatibility error, obviously.
