Problem with Lite-ON LH-18A1P DVD Burner

Media writing fails during burning. Error message varies depending on type of burning, like if its a Data DVD Burning then the Error is INVALID BLOCK ADDRESS, if a image is burned to DVD then the error is DEVICE NOT AVAILABLE, etc. I have updated the Firmware from LiteON site. I use Windows XP and on a HP notebook. I am using it with a 5.25 External Box.

Can anyone Pl advice a solution.

What brand of media are you using? Cheap stuff doesn't burn well.

I'd also try the drive internally. My dad had a failing enclosure controller that gave similar errors

i tried cheap stuff and also branded ones.
