I've been having problems with my CD/DVD drive. The unit is hl-dt-st dvdram gma-4082n in a Compaq Presario. The first problem in when burning a CD or DVD. When the burning process reaches between 5-10% often it stops for a while then it ejects the CD/DVD tray. They error message is saying that there's no CD/DVD in the drive. So at this point, the CD is no longer usable.
It only works after several tries.
The second problem is when I insert a CD/DVD, it often doesnt read the CD in the drive. Sometimes I have to re-insert the CD or press the eject button to make it work.
Does anyone here have any idea what's going wrong with my CD ROM?
