I turned on my computer and do some adjustments, I tried a auto overclocking to see what happens, because the motherboard's overclocking manual says beginners should do try it. then my computer turned off. As i turned the computer back on it turned off agian.

I did it the second time it finally turn on and my monitor says that it can't find any signals, but the computer looks normal the lights, fan, Video Card FAN, Led Lights, everything is on and looks ok, but not the monitor. So I switch monitors and still the same thing. The last time I checked my cpu temp, it was at 38c. Also I tried to eject the cd-drive and it will not eject. I also didn't smell anything burnt at all.

Is the MOBO mest up? power supply not enough power for OCing?CPU fried? or what?

Please I really need help..

Find the CMOS reset jumper (its position will be indicated in the mobo manual), and use it to reset your CMOS.

Yeah do that, if it doesn't say in the manual what you have to do is turn your computer off, put the jumper on the pins for about 2 secs (or more), take it off and start the computer.
The reason I am telling you how to do this is because when I was a first time OC'er I tryed many different ways before I actually got it right and got the computer up and running again:rolleyes:

Heya

Just to tell you what most likely happened. The computer set the overclock too high fro the CPU to handle well and therefore it would not start up. The same used to happen to me when I played around with OCing and pushed things too far.

JAN :D

yea reset the cmos if that doesn't work try reseating your video card and dimms... if not then try reseating cpu. ive had similar problems before it normally works out.
edit: ahh ok sry u already fixed it. yea clearing the cmos gets rid of any o/c settings you had.
