I foolishly bought the new creative x-fi titanium Pci-e card. I installed it and the system installed generic drivers for a digital audio device. The dvd software installed fine but it would not work. I kept getting error messages when trying to use the creative software. I figured I would reformat the system and try again.
After the reformat the software will not load at all. I get an error message "no compatible device found on system".

I am using vista 64bit. Any ideas?

Clear the CMOS and make sure you bios settings are set to enable PCIe x 1.

Make sure you install the motherboard chipset drivers and make sure you have disabled onboard sound on your motherboard.

Reinstall the Creative drivers.

If that doesen't work i would RMA your card. I had the same issue with my X-Fi and it turned out to be bad onboard memory.
