Problem with Opera

is there anything that u do that causes it to freeze? i.e. surf a certain site, surf for too long, etc..

any cpu hungry background programs running? ur pc able to run opera flawlessly? meeting the minimum requirements?

give us more details.

Computer = Windows XP PRO SP2
2.8 ghz pentium 4
512 DDR 2
120 GB
Using Bitdefender Internet Security

By the way, when i'm using firefox it works ok. Good speed. I switch to opera since opera is more better than firefox (i guess so). Help me coz all my bookmark is there. waa :(. Even when i want to see e-mail at yahoo and gmail, it's still freezing for 30 second - 1 minute. When i first use it it works fast. But 2 days later it's starting to freeze.

well, that can be an opera installation issue where a filed was misplace, missing, or corrupted.. you can try uninstalling it and reinstaling it.

however, opera is not better than firefox, nor firefox is better than opera, same goes to other browsers also. its basically just a preference and fanboyism to whichever. although many people prefer firefox. here is how to import the bookmarks.

what you can do is import your opera bookmarks to firefox and use firefox instead if you can not fix the problem. i found a similar problem related to yours in the opera community, however it is for linux distros. if you interested, here is the thread. scroll up to the beginning.

Well said computerhakk. Though I'm sure many of us would make the arguement nearly anything is better than IE, it all comes down to preference.

Try reinstalling opera, or repairing your current installation if given the option.
