Problem with Password-Protected Hard Drive

Okay, my girlfriend fried her laptop (spilled diet coke on it) and I decided to be a nice guy and help her try to recover some information that she needed from her hard drive. We determined that the hard drive was in working order, so I bought an external hard drive case so that we could access it from my computer. Well, she had her hard drive password protected, and while I can see all of the folders on the hard drive, I can't access some of them. It doesn't prompt me for a password at all, it just says that the folder is "Inaccessible. The Drive Cannot Be Accessed." If anyone help me get to the contents of the folder, I would appreciate it very much.

Not another one of these.....

Try downloading the latest SLAX LiveCD and boot to that. It should allow you to read and write to NTFS-formatted drives and save your information.
