problem with reformat/ vista

im not the smartest dude by far .. i bugged my buddy called him atleast like 4-5 times in 2 days

.. anyway i reformatted it all worked out but the thing is the font is strange, by the clock the icons are skittish,blurry, pixiled and some of the icons for stuff is just different, also mozilla is smaller on the screen?

sorry to bug you guys since im a n00b but yeah i thought maybe i could get some hints while im wandering around on here so im not sure what the deal is alright well anythings appreciated i guess constructive criticism or just plain criticism thanks ha

Are all drivers installed, preferrably the video driver? Make sure that the resolution is set to whatever the native resolution is for your monitor along with the color quality(16bit or 32 bit)
