Problem with shadows in game

I don't think you have to have the game DiRT to know, but I can't play it on highest settings for shadows with my 8800gts. Anyone know what to do when there are shadow problems? Is it a driver? I've updated the drivers. If you know of a specific driver for the 8800gts that might fix my shadow problems, that'd be nice.

look for any patches that have been released for the actual game, most of the time the problem is because of the game itself. As i said go to the official website, or a reliable patch source like IGN ( i think that's what it is ) and download the latest patch.
